As you can see from the photos on this website, Sue has a true passion for photography.
Her keen eye for beauty easily comes alive in her photos.
An award winning photographer, with 25 years of experience, Sue has covered many weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and church ceremonies.
Her love of nature is brought to life in her photos. Sue has been gifted with the ability to make even the simplest things look intriguing and beautiful... from a single flower to a delicate feather, from a beautiful butterfly to a slithering garden snake.
Her love of babies and children is clearly evident in her photographs. Sue has sensitively captured intimate shots of newborns in their first hours of life. She has photographed toddlers in their candid innocence, as well as moments of bonding between parent and child. She has, moreover, followed individual children in a photo-journalistic way, in their own environment where they can be comfortable and relaxed. There Sue can obtain photos of little ones at play, at rest, or interacting naturally with their parents and grandparents. Sue uses the best technique that ensures natural and spontaneous “Kodak Moments” wherein the child’s unique personality shines through. These scenes, that capture the personal expression, create cherished photographic memories.
With her emphasis on the child—not on the setting—Sue is able to allow the child to be him or herself as she takes control of the camera lens to capture the perfect portrait. She is less concerned about having the ‘perfect background; than about capturing her subjects’ expressions.
Sometimes it is rewarding to think of a child’s photograph as a gift not simply for their parents or grandparents, but for the child in years to come. Imagine the now-grown child showing these photos to his/her own children and sharing with them how a particular setting played a memorable role in his/her childhood. In addition to documenting how cute a child was, these pictures can contribute a great deal more to an individual’s life.
Born, raised and still living in Lowell, MA, Sue has recently turned her camera lens towards her city of origin by bringing this Historical Mill City to life. From Merrimack Street to the beautiful structure of City Hall and the Pollard Memorial Library ~ from The Francis Gate House to the ever changing flow of the Pawtucket Falls ~ from the Whistler House to inside the Textile Museum… The history of this ever growing community is being captured for future generations by Sue’s artistically expressive photography.
So sit back and take a few minutes to look over the photographs in Sue’s gallery.
Surely you will be amazed at what she has captured with a simple click of her shutter button. Enjoy! |
